This is the Raw Conversation Series intro I made for my church, High Street. After shooting the announcement video, my sister suggested making a quick into for our upcoming sermon series. So we through this together in about 45 minutes.

I got a call from a guy who owns a production company and was asked to fill in and edit a 30 second TV ad for a church in Michigan. He only had graphics and text for me to use, which I was unsure about. I primarily work with video footage but was excited to help him out in any way I could. We started around 8:30, it was at 11:15 when I realized this would take a little more time than anticipated. After several tears and three cans of coke, I finished somewhere near three in the morning. In preparation for this gig I frantically watched ten After Effects tutorials, but ended up doing it all on final cut. Good news is I learned the very basics of A.E. and am excited to learn more about the program.

This is one of the newer “In The Know”s that I do for High Street every week. I’ve been going into our auditorium and shooting on stage lately. I think it looks pretty sweet.

This is a promo I made for High Street’s Easter Sunday. We’re going to be talking about the Raw Conversation three dying men had on a cross thousands of years ago that changed their eternity. Come to High Street on April 4 at 11AM and come find me! I’d love to sit by you!

Okay, I didn’t make this video, but I felt like it was my duty to post it. My Hillcrest Hornets won the Class Five State Championship last week and if that wasn’t enough, made Sport Center’s top play of the day. I was at the game and saw this live and was blown away. Trey Starks could possibly beat me in a “jump-off”.

We did a series at High Street called The Book of James where we went through James while using my younger brother, James Lyons, as an illustration. In this episode I wanted to just get the main points of the message across in a simple way. “Listen, Speak, and Anger” were the points the message centered around. I think James is such a good illustration because he says things the way they are, in a simple way.

This week, my Dad (Pastor Eddie), spoke on the love of money. I wasn’t able to shoot this episode, so I had my good friend Chad Watson take care of it (his blog link is at the side of my page) I did the editing which took me about ten minutes. James is hilarious and a brilliant actor.

We did a series at High Street called “I am High Street”, where I went and shot different people’s testimonies. Bob’s testimony was awesome, and went for a long while. I had to cut down about 35 minutes of it to get it to a reasonable time. I’ve learned that no matter how good a video might be, it needs to be somewhat short. People can’t sit still for that long. I had a lot of fun shooting and editing during this series.

I shoot and produce a weekly announcement video at my church, High Street. Here’s one of our fun ones!
